I provide individual therapy for children who struggle with overwhelming feelings and need a place to process their experiences. My approach to individual therapy is tailored to the child's needs, and incorporates evidence based practices such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and attachment work. Individual child therapy is appropriate for children navigating symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavior challenges,  life transitions, and more. 

I work with families of all sizes and backgrounds to help foster healthy communication between their members. I use techniques from TheraPlay, Internal Family Systems, and other relationship focused therapies to support parent and child interaction. I am a Nationally Rostered Child-Parent Psychotherapist, and use that model to help parents and children who have experienced trauma repair their attachment relationship and support healthy growth. 

Family dynamics can be complex and challenging. Parenting itself can feel overwhelming when we do not understand our child's needs. My approach to parent guidance responds to each parent's unique concerns; providing concrete strategies to address family conflicts and encouraging reflection and exploration of patterns of behavior and the parenting experience as a whole. 

Parenting young children can be extremely isolating, especially when parenting a child with emotional or behavioral challenges. I am a trained Circle of Security Parenting Group Facilitator, and provide structured parenting groups for parents. The group curriculum aims to help parents understand children's' natural patterns of exploration and need for comfort.  Group parenting sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where you can share your experiences and learn from others. 

I am a board certified clinical supervisor in the state of Maryland, and welcome any potential clinicians working toward advanced licensure who are interested in exploring their work with children and families more deeply.
